Bill has had over 40 years of management and leadership experience within the real estate industry. In November 2010, he returned from Beijing, China, after his eight-year role as president of Century 21 China. Bill was instrumental in taking Century 21 China from 37 offices in 2001 to more than 1,200 offices and 20,000 sales staff in 32 cities. Century 21 become the largest real estate network in China and is now listed on the New York Stock Exchange.
Over the past several years, Bill has served as consultant to major Beijing developers on various projects. One was a 6 million-square-foot mixed-use plan to create the new “Cultural District” in west Beijing similar to New York City’s Times Square with 30 Broadway theaters, several hotels, commercial, retail and residential components. Other China consulting projects were a private business club for 3,000 members along with 40 hotel suites, a spa, three restaurants and an art gallery in a 220,000-square-foot complex on 25 acres. Bill also assisted the owners of the Jack Niklaus Golf Academy Franchise that was just entering the Chinese market. Just for fun, in January, 2010, he co-produced Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol” in Beijing that was adapted in Mandarin for the first time ever and ran for 13 performances.
Beginning in June 2011, Bill became the first international business consultant for Keller Williams Worldwide. Keller Williams Realty is the fastest-growing real estate franchise in the United States and Canada. Keller Williams Realty has experienced explosive growth in the past 10 years, from 11,000 associates in 2001 to more than 103,000 associates today, making it the largest real estate company in America by agent count. He works alongside KW Worldwide President Chris Heller, and when not traveling overseas, he spends an average of 10 days per month at the Keller Williams Realty International Offices in Austin, Texas.
His strategic approach to developing and expanding the real estate franchise model began in 1969 as a broker/owner with Century 21 Barrie Hunt Company in Spokane, Washington. Over an 18-year period, he successfully grew the organization to over 120 agents in three franchised offices. He then became regional franchise director for Century 21 Region V in Southern California, handling franchise sales and marketing for 180 offices in three counties. He held this position for three years before making the international leap.
Bill has spent the majority of the last 20 years overseas in executive roles within the Century 21 system. He began his international stint with back-to-back CEO posts in Australia and New Zealand, having responsibility for franchise operations in each country. He then moved on to become the executive director of Century 21 Indonesia, where he developed an executive team and oversaw the launch of 24 new franchisees in six months. Continuing his international growth, he spent three years assisting with the launch of Century 21 Central America and Century 21 Venezuela.
In between his China experience, Bill moved to the Century 21 parent company Realogy, in Parsippany, New Jersey, for 18 months as the senior vice president, overseeing their international operations of more than 6,000 offices and 55,000 agents among five brands in 92 countries.

Bill has three grown children. They include Robert, 42, who is in the insurance industry in Temecula, California; Jenna, 40, who is a freelance journalist in Idyllwild, California; and Kelly, 36, who lives in Lewiston, Idaho and is an executive at the local credit union. Bill has three grandsons, Kaleb, 15, and Kobe, 11 and Liam, 1 year old.
